So, on the last day of Maximum Attack G on PSU (well, it WILL be the last day of ST decides to not extend the event), I (F Gattaca), Sniff The Raven (P. Justice 2.0), and a mutual friend of ours (Pharan) went on a "world tour" of the various missions PSU has to offer.

What for? To prove one thing--any MMO is worth its money if you have fun playing it, and what makes MMOs fun is partying with friends.

... And finding quite a few good rares during our rampage helps too. Heh heh.

Anyway, we stopped a bit at Raffon Lakeshore to goof off. I recorded a part of it, and as part of my continiung experiments with video editing, flash movies, and combining the two, I made this. It's kinda like the other "silly nothing" flash movie I did years back, Chicken in a Bucket.

Although this one is a LOT bigger in size (6 MB in fact) due to the videos.

Specifically, I was experimenting with creating a short animation that seamlessly enters into a loopable sequence (same with the audio). This turned out to be a lot trickier than I first thought, but hopefully you'll find the results amusing, mesmerizing, or both!

By the way, as the flash movie states, the music is a clip from "Young Boy's Heart" by Home Made Kazoku. That's better known as (one of) the opening themes to the anime Eureka 7. It was the whole reason I got the idea to do this in the first place, heheh.

(Edit: And by the way, the seemingly non-English text at the start of the movie? That's mostly there for flavor. It's the script used in Parum culture in PSU, but the words ARE legit English. Sega did this in both PSO and PSU, where Coral and Gurhalian text were written with the English alphabet and in the afprementioned language, but the actual fonts used are like no Earthly script--a clever way of making seemingly otherworldly language, heh ... especially if you are a native Japanese player.)

Enjoy!

I love this song. Good job on the seamless loop. It's actually not TOO hard when it's drawings (draw what you want to loop and then take one frame from the end and keep repeating it) but I imagine it must be more difficult with footage from a game. Also, not only does the animation loop seamlessly but so does the song! Haha, good job overall.

I really wish I had the cash to play online. Damn it all!

Great movie, seeing that giant clunky robot dance is a paradox in itself.

Yeah, this had a hell of a lot of work put in it. Syncing dance is hard for two people, must be mind-numbingly difficult to get three synced and blend it seamlessly.

By the by, why is everyone a CAST?

*sits and stares*

Oh gods I love it.
The track chosen really suits the dance and that must've taken for-freakin'-ever to sync with three people dancing. I know it always takes a while for me and Justin to sync a dance and that's when we're just screwing around with the two of us...

What program did you use to record the footage, might I ask?
