Okay ... I need to point out something real quick. The pixel art is the NPC. The rest of the image is just dressing I used to identify what the character is. I hope this doesn't qualify as an asskicking from the DA gods ...
Anyway, Beige asked me to create a sprite of the U.S. Army soldiers in Unity Lite (a "proof of concept" game for his bigger project, Unity) in the style of games such as FFT, Ogre Battle, and Ragnarok Online. He didn't specify whether it'd be isometric, 3/4th, or side view, so I just assumed isometric.
While he liked the sprite, I think he's planning on going a different direction with the art style. I'm not sure, but I'll be on call if he needs any more spritage done.
(Edited to upload a revised version of the sprite, fixing an error I didn't catch in the arm length, as well as some incorrectly colored parts.)
The legs should be shorter bcoz Ro sprite are shorts
or the arms should be longer to make him look more erm.... normal coz the arms only reach the belt. If you stand up and put your hands straight down, you will see where's your hands position are... opps critique.
i like FFT; Ogre battle and RO i wanna know more about this game... Nice sprite btw did you base it on an RO npc? it kinda looks like one, anyways good job ^^
While I did try to follow RO's style and dimensions, it's not based off of any preexisting RO class or anything. I drew each part of the uniform by hand.

Thanks for the comments!
