Some of the people who're still reading RW [link] are probably wondering why the heck I didn't make good on my promise about that April Fools' flash movie, or made an anniversary flash movie like I've been doing since 2007. Or, why the latest series for The Legend of Key-Fu [link] hasn't been uploaded.

Well, to be honest--this year's sucked as far as weather and computer issues go! Back in July, I had managed to get my desktop computer running ... for all of two weeks.

Then a thunderstorm destroyed the computer's motherboard! (And this is with surge protection, mind you! I have a combined line conditioner/uninterruptible power supply/surge protector for my machine ... problem is, the router wasn't protected) I'm lucky nothing else was destroyed, but I still had to wait a month for a replacement motherboard.

Since that time, we've had more severe weather that's kept me from working on RW or the Legend of Key-Fu when I had the time to do so (for example, a nonstop line of thunderstorms that occurred for a whole week earlier this October). Even with the surge protection, all my project files and other data are on a USB drive. If that gets fried, well, I'd be SOL. (Sure, I could put the stuff on my desktop's main drive, but it's a hassle keeping everything synchronized and up to date with backups as it is!)

Anyway, here's my gameplan for Key-Fu 9: Upload the pages individually, hopefully with the first one getting uploaded tonight. It might take a while, since I've had no time to work on it ... but at least it'll be there.

As for the April Fools' flash movie for this year, I'll need to talk to the peeps who sent me notes earlier this year. Heck, I still need to get together lyrics for that idea. Nth Power now has his microphone working (as evidenced by today's upload), and while he's not going to be singing, that is a major plus, considering what I had planned.

In short: I'm blaming Cirno for everything. This is her year! It's all her fault!
